History: Pasha was raised in the Capitol. She grew up in a large family of boys and had a very happy childhood, if not one mildly marred and made a slight more difficult with her speech impediment. Her father was a politician and her mother a district escort until her retirement three years ago. From early childhood she was a very academic girl and tended to shy away from the social aspects of Capitolian upbringing, at least until she was encouraged into it in her late teens by her parents. She gained a good education with several private tutors and showed herself to be very adept in mathematics, piano and certain bouts of athleticism such as running. Pasha has always had a long running obsession with outer space and stars.
Pasha had at one point been headhunted to be Gammaker at seventeen due to her near prodigal skills in mathematics but politely declined after a long consideration. She couldn't bring herself to be that involved in the deaths of others even if it was for the betterment of the Capitol. She protested reasons of not yet being a fully grown woman and promised to reconsider her thoughts on the matter when she felt she was old enough to fully commit to the role.
She had mostly avoided the social scene after her début as a young woman until the recent opening of her oddities shop; SuperNova. She preferred to keep the company of her books and little else. Pasha had always been mildly awkward but she felt somewhat at odds with the other people in the Capitol who constantly seemed so glamorous and put together, however, the desire to make her own enterprise a success prompted her to make a reappearance into polite society. Her parents had been searching for a suitable match for her since her début but she begged them permission to have time to set up her shop and become an established businesswoman on her own before becoming a wife or mother. They have permitted her three years to get herself set into business before they will push the issue.

Presentation:
Outwardly the youngest Chekov is a bright and eccentric young woman. She's very easily flustered and knocked off her concentration. She can come off as awkward and socially inept, often coming out with things that aren't exactly tactful or polite but once she realises her error she's quick to apologise. Pasha puts herself forward as being rather bubbly and happy and tries to give that impression as much as possible.
She's happiest when surrounded with books but she's happy to ramble on for hours on end on her favourite topic; outer space. Small and slight, Pasha deliberately presents herself as the cute daughter of a politician, with everything that entails. She is always well kept and tastefully dressed (if not always wearing something space related) and exceedingly polite, gently spoken and helpful. She does have a speech impediment in which her vs become ws which mostly comes out when she is distracted. When she focuses or is in hyper conventional situations she will try to rid herself of it as much as possible.
Pasha tries her best to show herself as a model citizen of the Capitol, despite her natural uncertainness around people that she doesn't know very well. She is an active supporter of the games and the government and since the opening of her shop has gone out of her way to attend as many Games functions as possible to promote her own shop and to support certain tributes. To her close friends she is unfalteringly loyal and protective although she has a tendency to be drawn into their problems more than she would like to be.
She puts a lot of enthusiasm into her work and is endlessly dedicating herself to marketing her products and inventing intelligent marketing to appeal to a wider audience. Sometimes her experiments go wrong but she always seems to take delight in dissecting the problems and improving upon what she has done. Pasha is a very dedicated and conscientious young woman. Her obsession with outer space can be reflected in almost everything she does and it could be noted that alien tributes or ones who claim to be from a future civilisation are the ones she tends to spend the most time getting to know and sponsoring.

Motivations: Pasha, while internally a shy and anxious young woman is ultimately a very shrewd and intelligent girl. She doesn't voice her political opinions very often because she's aware it isn't in her best interests to do anything other than comply with the Capitol and be outwardly as happy a citizen as she can be. Not only because it would reflect badly on her father otherwise but because she's heard horror stories of the districts from her mother as a child growing up and has no interest in living a life as difficult as they have to. She recognises what she has and she is immensely grateful for it. She makes a show of being bubbly and happy because that's what is expected for her. Mostly though, she's cringing on the inside during social encounters, ever afraid she'll say the wrong thing and end up truly offending someone.
Her need to show to her family that she can stand on her own two feet and be independent prompted her to open up her oddities shop. She spent a lot of her life being coddled and protected as the only daughter of their family and the only member of the family with a speech impediment. The impediment has had a knock on effect on her confidence and if pointed out or brought note to she can get incredibly flustered and upset. As a perfectionist it's somewhat of a sticking point for her that she can't overcome it and it's a topic that she is very sensitive about. Knowing that there's a time limit on her independence as a single young woman has prompted her into experiencing as much of the Capitol and extend her business as much as she can before she gets tied down into a relationship.
She enjoys being challenged very much and will actively seek out people who intellectually stimulate her, preferring their company to those who she should really enjoy being around. Pasha has exceedingly few romantic interests and can get very uncomfortable if put into a situation where she has to interact with someone in a romantic or flirty manner. She doesn't see herself that way at all so when other people do it very much puts her on the back foot and causes her to react defensively and nervously.

Hello!
[There's a sweet looking young woman dressed in a comfortable purple knit dress and star pins dotted in among her mass of dark brown curls, holding up whatever device is recording high above her head and pointed down at her, which accounts for the wobbly angle of the frame. When she smiles at the camera her cheeks dimple. It's clear to see when you look at her that her eyes have been modified to look a startlingly bright shade of blue. It's quite possible that the dimples might be a modification too.]
I am Pasha. It occurred to me earlier today whilst I was setting out my new stock that I hawe been remiss in introducing myself to a lot of people as of yet!
As I said, I am Pasha. My full name is Polina Andreynia Chekov. But I do prefer Pasha, if you wouldn't mind. I run SuperNova, an oddities shop that specialises in galactical produce. We hawe only recently set up but as of last week we are officially open! [Her grin splits a little wider at that. It's something she's clearly proud of.] Giwen the rising status of some of our extraterrestrial tributes I decide that for this week there will be fourty two percent off all space-based memorabilia and products within the store!
I was also looking for a Tribute who might we willing to come and be a liwe model for my shop window, but that's an easy enough matter to discuss priwately, yes?
Ewen if you aren't interested in buying anything I inwite you to come down and hawe a look. And I do hope to see you all in a parasec!
[/Pasha out.
Her video ends with a image flashing up of a sparkling star and directions of how to find her shop.]

Prose:
She was crying from the moment the peacekeepers had picked her up. Crying and physically shaking. They couldn't do this. Didn't they know who papa was? Who she was. There had been a mistake. A horrible mistake and it would be rectified the moment they realised she was Andrei and Anna's daughter. Some of these people had been dinner guests at her house at one time or the other. So why was she now the victim of their scrutiny.
She wasn't to know that hacking into government records was a crime. She had thought she would be able to explain it away, to make them understand that it had been a simple curiosity not an intentional crime. Pasha had assumed that her father's diplomatic prowess would have protected her. She couldn't have been more wrong. After being shown into the room she fumbled with her handkerchief to wipe at her eyes. Pasha wanted nothing more than to beg for their forgiveness and plead for her life. But the bitter taste at the back of her throat as she thought of all the children her own mother had escorted to their deaths told her that pleading and begging for her life would do little good.
So instead she made for the weapons, hands trembling and tears still rolling down her cheeks. She was terrified out of her wits and fumbled with the weapons with thick numb fingers but she was determined not to show herself as being beaten. This was a mistake but she had to be strong until papa could fix this and get her out of this nightmarish scenario.

What is your character scored: A six at best. She can be cunning when the situation calls upon it and she's rather likeable and cute.

Hunger Games AU and OC:
Pasha is a Capitol citizen. Pasha has been involved in the games since she was old enough to understand them though the connection that her mother had to them as a district escort. She would be fascinated to know how she would react under those unique kind of stresses although she's absolutely terrified of being hurt herself. If a canon doppelgänger was in the games it would give her a chance to understand her own reactions a little better.
